1月、湖北省にあるセブンスデー・アドベンチスト教会の朱仲才（チュー・ツォンツァイ）牧師と他8人が「違法な営業活動」を行ったとして告発、刑を受けた。
今年7月、中国当局は、キリスト教の新聞紙、『春雨報』の発行を停止させ、出回っているバックナンバーをすべて回収する運動を全国展開した。
2010年、セブンスデー・アドベンチスト教会の3名の牧師が逮捕され、昨年秋に内2人が釈放されましたが、1人はまだ拘留されたままです。
中国政府当局は20年以上にわたり、瀋陽市のキリスト教系学校を迫害し、学校は何度も移転を強いられてきた。
中国遼寧省の警察官は、セブンスデー・アドベンチスト教会の5名の伝道者を「『邪教』集団を利用して法律の執行を弱体化させた」罪で有罪とするため、尋問記録を捏造しました。
